Casino Hold'em: your two cards and the flop against the dealer

Casino Hold'em is Texas Hold'em cut down to a head-to-head game. You and the dealer each get two cards, and five community cards are shared. You never play against other people, only against the dealer's hand. The 918Kiss version fits three seats on one table so you can play more than one hand.

The table

In the screenshot above, each of the three seats has three spots: AA, ANTE and CALL. Chips of 0.5 sit on the AA and Ante spots of the two left-hand seats. The curved line across the table reads "Dealer's Qualifying Hand / Pair of 4s or Better".

Two paytables are printed in the top corners:

• AA Bet (left): Royal Flush 100 to 1, Straight Flush 50 to 1, 4 of a Kind 40 to 1, Full House 30 to 1, Flush 20 to 1, Straight or lower 7 to 1.
• Ante Bet (right): Royal Flush 100 to 1, Straight Flush 20 to 1, 4 of a Kind 10 to 1, Full House 3 to 1, Flush 2 to 1, Straight or lower 1 to 1.

The limits box shows MIN 0.5 and MAX 1000, and the Deal and Clear bets buttons are bottom right.

The decision point

The second capture shows the only choice in the game. The flop is out: a King, a 2 and a 9. The first seat holds a 2 and a 7 and the second a pair of 8s; the game has marked both "One Pair". The dealer's two cards are still face down. Now you Call (add a bet, usually twice the Ante, and see the rest of the board) or Fold (give up the Ante).

How the round settles

Once all five community cards are out, the best five-card hands are formed automatically. As the old notes put it, the dealer has to have at least a pair of 4s. If the dealer doesn't qualify, your Call bet comes back and the Ante is paid on its paytable. If the dealer qualifies, the higher hand wins.
