Single Pick: call the suit before the card turns over

One card, four suits and a Joker. How the Single Pick screen is set out, what the X3.8 and Joker labels say, and what the round log is for.

Single Pick strips a card game down to one question: which suit will the next card be? You spread chips across spade, heart, club and diamond, press Start, and one card turns over. It is one of the quickest games on 918Kiss, and one of the easiest to overplay.

The card and the log

In the screenshot above, the left side is taken up by a single large card in a gold frame, here the 5 of hearts. The right side is a log grid that records every card of the current set. In our capture it lists a 6 of clubs (with a small crown), then 4 and Jack of clubs, Queen of spades, 6 of diamonds, 9 of hearts, 5 of spades and Ace of diamonds.

Across the top, a counter tracks the round number (10 here) and how often each suit has come up so far: spades 2, hearts 1, clubs 3, diamonds 2, Joker 1.

The bet panel

The strip along the bottom holds:

  • CHIPS x 50, the chip size you are placing.
  • BAL, your balance (2780 in the first capture).
  • WIN, the last win.
  • A row of suit buttons, each with a bet box next to it. The spade and heart buttons are both marked X3.8.
  • CLEAR to take bets back, and START to turn the card.

A line in the middle reads JOKER: return the other bet, the only rule printed on screen.

Between rounds

The second capture shows the next round. The card is face down, the round counter has moved to 11, the 5 of hearts has joined the log, and the heart counter has gone up to 2. The START button has turned into REBET, which puts the same bets down again with one tap. The balance box now reads 2970.

A word on the log

It is tempting to look at the grid and decide a suit is "due". It isn't. Every card is a fresh draw, whatever the counters say.

What does 'Joker: return the other bet' mean?

It is the only rule text on the main screen. It suggests that when a Joker comes up, bets on the suits are handed back. The help screen should confirm the details.

What are the numbers next to the suits at the top?

They count how many times each suit and the Joker have come up in the current set of rounds. They are a record, not a forecast.
