Motorbike on Mega888: six pixel riders and a board of pair odds

Motorbike is an arcade race game in old 8-bit style: green verges, blocky bushes, a dirt track and six riders on numbered bikes. You don't ride. You bet on the outcome, the race runs, and the finishing order settles the board.

The NEW ODDS grid

The hero screenshot is the betting screen. The grid is labelled NEW ODDS, with rider numbers 2 to 6 across the top and 1 to 5 down the side. Each cell is a pairing of two riders, so the grid covers every combination of two bikes.

The figures vary a lot. In this round, pairs sat at 4, 100, 80, 125, 10, 20, 8, 1000, 175, 60, 5, 200, 30, 500 and 3. A red 0 under each figure is your stake on that pair. The low numbers are the pairings the game expects to come in often; 1000 is one it rarely expects.

On the right are the bet buttons (0, 1, 10 and 50), a LAST 5R RESULTS panel, and a FAST MODE toggle at the bottom. A red line underneath reads "JACKPOT X3 X4 X5 FREE MOTO". The screenshots don't explain how that is triggered, so we won't guess.

The race

Once bets are in, the riders set off from the right side of the screen. Rider 6 leads in the capture above, with the others spread across the track.

At the finish post a big red "5-6" appears, which is the pair that came in first and second. Anyone who backed the 5-6 cell wins at whatever odds were shown for it before the start.

How a session goes

Each round is short. Pick a pair, place chips, watch a short race, repeat. That speed is exactly why it can drain a budget faster than a slot: you are making a fresh bet every round, and chasing the 1000 cell is a quick way through a top-up.
