Mega888 Roulette 73: a 73-pocket wheel and a wider betting board
Roulette 73 doubles the usual number range. What the 0-72 board offers, where the 5 to 1 bets are, and why a wider wheel doesn't mean better odds.
Most roulette wheels have 37 or 38 pockets. Roulette 73 on Mega888 has 73: a single green 0 and the numbers 1 to 72 in red and black. The board is correspondingly wide, and the outside bets are sliced in ways you won't see on a standard table.
The board
The hero screenshot shows the full layout. The 0 sits in a tall green box on the left. The numbers run in columns of six, from 1 to 6 on the left up to 67 to 72 on the right, alternating red and black.
At the end of each of the six rows is a box labelled "5to1". That's a bet on all twelve numbers in that row.
Under the grid, the outside bets:
- 1st18, 2nd18, 3rd18, 4th18 (four blocks of 18 numbers)
- 1st24, 2nd24, 3rd24 (three blocks of 24)
- 1to36 and 36to72 (low and high halves)
- EVEN and ODD
- a black box and a red box for colour
Only the row bets have their payout printed. The screenshots don't show what the blocks or colours pay.
Limits and chips
The top-left corner shows MIN 0.5 and MAX 700. The chip rail offers 0.5, 1, 5, 10, 50 and 100. WIN and BET counters sit bottom left, with CURRENT BALANCE under them.
Spin and result
When you spin, the wheel fills the screen. You can see the wooden cone, the chrome spinner and the ball rolling around the numbered track. The green 0 pocket is on the right side in this capture.
After the spin, a gold marker stands on the winning number (68 here) and the history strip across the top now starts with 68. The WIN counter shows 1 on a 0.5 bet, and a NEW GAME button appears at the bottom right.
Worth knowing
More numbers don't give you better odds. A straight-up bet has a 1 in 73 chance, and the zero is still there on every outside bet. If you like roulette for its slow pace, keep to the 0.5 chip and even-money style bets and play fewer rounds.

It has 73 pockets (0 and 1 to 72) instead of 37, and the outside bets are split differently: four blocks of 18, three blocks of 24, and 1to36 or 36to72.
Does the zero still matter?
Yes. The single green 0 is not covered by the row, block, colour or odd/even bets, which is where the house edge comes from on those bets.
