Roulette 73: a wide table with 72 numbers and a single zero
Twice the numbers of a normal wheel on one crowded table. How the inside and outside bets are laid out in Roulette 73 and what the limits box says.
Roulette 73 takes the familiar single-zero game and doubles the board. There are 72 numbers plus a green 0, which is where the name comes from: 73 pockets in total. The result is a busy table that rewards a slow look before you put any chips down.
As the old notes on this page said, bets go on either of two parts of the table: the inner grid of numbers or the outer boxes below it.
The inner grid
In the screenshot above, the numbers climb in columns of six, from 1 to 6 on the left to 67 to 72 on the right, in alternating red and black. Six rows means six row bets, and each row ends in a box marked 5to1. The green 0 takes up the full height on the left.
The outer boxes
Below the grid sit three lines of wider boxes. The first splits the numbers into quarters: 1st 18, 2nd 18, 3rd 18 and 4th 18. The second splits them into thirds: 1st 24, 2nd 24 and 3rd 24. The last line holds 1 to 36, EVEN, a black box, a red box, ODD and 36 to 72.
With so many numbers, a single-number chip is a long shot. The outer boxes cover more ground and move more slowly.
The wheel and the controls
The second capture shows the wheel that slides in when you spin. It is packed tight with 73 narrow pockets around a marble centre, and the green zero is visible near the bottom right.
The controls match the other tables in this family: a chip rail of 0.5, 1, 5, 10, 50 and 100, WIN and BET boxes, CURRENT BALANCE in the corner, and a RECORD strip across the top (60, 65, 72, 9 and 66 in our capture). The limits box reads MIN 0.5 and MAX 700.
