Dolphin Reef on Mega888: turtles, clownfish and no jackpot bar

Dolphin Reef is a straightforward ocean slot. Light-coloured reels sit inside a blue underwater frame with kelp on the edges and the "Dolphin Reef" logo at the top. What stands out compared with most Mega888 titles is what is missing: there's no MAJOR, MINOR or RANDOM bar. It is just the reels, the line markers and the bet panel.

Symbols on the reels

The themed pictures are a dolphin leaping over coral, a sea turtle, an orange clownfish, a seahorse and a starfish. The rest of the reel space is taken by card letters and numbers in bright colours: A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9.

In the hero screenshot, three clownfish line up across the middle row on reels one to three. We can't tell from the image what that paid, because the WIN box is blank at the moment of capture.

Twenty lines, and what that costs

The numbered markers on both sides of the reels are the paylines. The hero shot has LINES at 20 and BET at 1.00. Total cost per spin is lines times bet, so 20 credits every time you press start.

The capture above shows the other end of the scale: 1 line at 0.01. Same reels, a tiny fraction of the cost, and far fewer ways to land a win. Most people settle somewhere in between. The gamble screen

After a win, a gamble option lets you guess the colour of a card. The screen shows RED and BLACK buttons, a card with the dolphin logo on its back, and two boxes: BANK (0.03) and DOUBLE TO (0.06). COLLECT keeps the win. Guess wrong and the bank is gone.

Players who find the flashing jackpot counters distracting may like how plain this one is. There's less on the screen, and the only number that matters is your balance.
