Super Sic Bo (Play8oy): a dark dice board with a countdown and a glass dome
Super Sic Bo is Play8oy's three-dice table. It writes odds the other way round (1:69 rather than 69:1) and shakes the dice under a glass dome on a timer.
Super Sic Bo is the Play8oy take on the three-dice game. The board is dark green and black with red numbers, Small and Big are marked with the Chinese characters 小 and 大, and the dice are shaken in a glass dome that drops over the table.
Reading the board
Top row, left to right: SMALL (1:1), single-number doubles, pairs, ANY TRIPLE in the middle, specific triples, more doubles, and BIG (1:1). Then the totals from 4 to 17. Then a row of two-dice combinations. The bottom row has the single numbers ONE to SIX.
Totals in the hero image read:
- 4 and 17: 1:69
- 5 and 16: 1:34
- 6 and 15: 1:20
- 7 and 14: 1:13
- 8 and 13: 1:9
- 10 and 11: 1:6
The odds for 9 and 12 are hard to read in this capture.
The totals sit symmetrically, which is what you would expect with three dice. At the top, a counter shows 9 seconds left and a small display shows the last result, 2, 6 and 1, next to an ODDS button.
Placing chips
The chip at the bottom left is set to 50. In the hero image there is a 50 chip on SMALL. CLEAR removes all chips, UNDO takes back the last one, and DOUBLE doubles what is on the board. CONFIRM locks the bet before the counter ends.
The shake
When betting closes, the dome appears over the middle of the board with the dice inside. The top bar shows the result as dice icons and a word: here 2, 6 and 1, which is 9, labelled SMALL.
In the next round the result is 3, 5 and 6: 14, BIG. The board lights up every box that won, including total 14 at 1:13, the three matching pairs, and THREE, FIVE and SIX.
