Show Hand in the Play8oy app: choosing a hall and going all in

Show Hand is a short, head-to-head card game where either player can push everything in. On Play8oy you pick a hall by table limit, take a seat and wait for a round.

Show Hand is a stud poker game popular in Chinese-speaking communities, where each player gets cards one by one and can push everything in at any point with a "show hand". On Play8oy it is played heads-up: you against one opponent at a green table.

Pick a hall

The first screen (hero image) asks you to "Please select a hall". There are two red buttons:

  • TABLE LIMIT 2000 - 5000
  • TABLE LIMIT 5000 - 10000

These limits are in Play8oy SCORE units. The balance in the corner (9100 here) needs to cover the hall you choose, so the smaller hall is the only option for many players.

Taking a seat

After you choose, a SEAT IN box shows your seat and the amount you brought to the table (5000). A message reads "Please wait for a new round..." with a progress bar. The green EXIT button lets you leave before the round starts.

This capture sums up how quickly it goes. At the top, the opponent's avatar has a FOLD label above a 9 of hearts and a face-down card. At the bottom, the player's ace sits next to a face-down card, a gold WINNER banner covers the cards and 5100 in chips slides across. The text reads "TABLE LIMIT : 2000 - 5000", "Maximum Show Hand : 5000", and there are two big buttons: SHOW HAND and SHOW CARD. A round number is printed in the top right.

One won hand does not say anything about the next. In a two-player game, a single show hand can take most of your seat amount at once.

The screenshots show one opponent seat with a cartoon avatar. They do not say whether it is another player or the house.
