Emperor Gate on 3Win8: the red gate scatter and the reel 3 wild
A 50-line Chinese historical slot where one wild on the middle reel does the heavy lifting. Here is what its paytable and reels show.
Emperor Gate is a 50-line slot dressed in red lacquer and old Chinese court imagery: a general in armour, a pagoda gate tower, a scroll marked with calligraphy, a bronze wine vessel and a pair of studded red doors. The Chinese title on the reels reads 斬五門.

The wild on reel 3
The key rule sits in the SUBSTITUTE box at the top of the help page. The wild, a bearded general, only appears on reel 3 during normal games. When it lands it expands to fill every position on that reel before the pays are worked out, and the prize is tripled when one or more wilds are part of the win. It also substitutes for the scatter, and counts once on its reel for scatter purposes.
Most of the symbol boxes carry a second column headed WITH, showing larger pays when the wild is involved. Five of the green 義 character, for example, list 3333 on their own.
The scatter
The SCATTER is the red double gate. The panel lists 5 for "33+FEATURE", 4 for "9+FEATURE", 3 for "FEATURE" and 2 for a small pay, and says scatter wins are multiplied by total bet. What the feature itself contains is not shown on this page.
On the reels
In the hero shot the game is on 50 lines at 0.01 each, and a thin line has picked up a 0.03 win on line 17. Over the reels sit a MINOR JACKPOT box (850.00) and a MAJOR JACKPOT box (1100.00). Neither number is a prize you should expect.
At 0.10 a line on all 50 lines, as in the capture above, each spin costs 5.00. That adds up fast. It is worth dropping the line count or the bet while you get used to how often the reel 3 wild shows up.
