Golden Tour: a five-line golf slot with a Dollar Ball switch

Golden Tour is a golf slot, and a very old-fashioned one. The cabinet calls itself a "Five Reel Multiline Videoslot", and it only has five lines. The side panel says "Play 1 to 5 coins", so each coin is a line.

The old page said the bet starts at 0.05. The screenshots show exactly that.

Five lines, drawn in colour

The first screenshot shows why five lines are easy to follow. Each one is a coloured stripe across the reels: line 1 straight through the middle in green, lines 2 and 3 across the top and bottom, and lines 4 and 5 as big yellow and red V shapes. Numbered balls on both sides mark where each line starts and ends.

That spin pays "a total of 0.15", as the message on the reels says.

The symbols

In the screenshot above you can see most of the cast: golf carts, blue golf bags, red pin flags, two-tone golf shoes, a brown gopher, a mallard duck, a glass of beer, an orange golf ball and a white one, and something like a lizard or crocodile. Stacks of golf balls also appear in the first capture.

Bet panel and jackpot

Controls are basic: Lines and Bet windows with minus and plus buttons, Credit and Win boxes, and a spin button. A PROGRESSIVE JACKPOT bar runs above the reels (about 413191 in the first capture), and a gold "Dollar Ball ENABLE" switch sits top-left, as on A Night Out. What Dollar Ball costs is not shown.

The old page mentioned a 2000-point jackpot; the pay table is not in these screenshots, so we can't confirm that.

Who it suits

If you want the smallest possible stake and a game you can read at a glance, this is it. Five lines means fewer small wins than a 20-line slot, so expect more empty spins.
