Great Blue: an underwater 25-line slot on 918Kiss

Great Blue is one of the older ocean slots in the 918Kiss lobby, and it plays like a classic five-reel line game. The theme is simple: open water, a shark, a purple starfish, a seahorse, yellow tropical fish, and killer whales that fill whole columns.

The screenshot above was taken mid-session with a balance of 39.79. Nothing exotic happens on screen. You set lines and bet, you spin, and wins are paid along the lines marked on both sides of the reels.

What's on the reels

Five reels, three rows. The high symbols are the sea creatures, and the low ones are playing-card letters and numbers drawn in blue bubbly type (9, J, A are visible here). On reel five, three orca symbols sit stacked on top of each other. Stacks like that can cover a whole reel at once, which is where most of the bigger line hits in this kind of game come from.

The small numbered tabs on the left and right edges, running 1 to 25, mark where each pay line starts and ends.

The bet panel

Under the reels you find, from left to right:

• CURRENT BALANCE, your credit on the ID.
• LINES with minus and plus, here set to 25.
• BET with minus and plus, here 0.25, so one cent per line.
• WIN, then the Start and Spin buttons.

According to the old game notes, the per-line bet can go as low as 0.01, which matches what the screenshot shows. Across the top sit the three shared jackpot counters: MAJOR, RANDOM and MINOR. They are running displays, not a promise of anything.

The double-up screen

After a win you can open the gamble screen shown above. It lists your BET (0.20), what it would become (DOUBLE TO 0.40) and the LAST CARDS drawn. Pick RED or BLACK. A wrong guess loses the win, so Collect is usually the calmer choice.
