Spartan (斯巴达 in the title) puts its reels on a sandstone background with crossed swords in the corners of the top bar. The theme is the soldiers of ancient Sparta, and the art makes the most of rows of shields and spears.
It is a 9-line game, with a 0.09 bet in our capture, and it uses the Gamble War card screen after a win.
What the reels hold
In the screenshot above the most eye-catching symbol is a phalanx of spearmen marching in rank, which turns up twice. There is also a close-up of a warrior in a bronze helmet with a red crest, and a silver ring set with a red shield bearing the Greek letter lambda. The card ranks A, 10, K, J, 9 and Q are drawn in heavy metallic colours.
A payline is drawn across line 2 and the WIN box shows 0.98, more than ten times the 0.09 stake. Results like that are the exception on a 9-line game, not the pattern.
The top bar
The layout here is a little different from most games in this set. Across the top: BALANCE (37.05), BET (0.09), BET LINES (9) and WIN, then a Dollar Ball ENABLE button and BACK. Under that, MINOR and MAJOR are on the left and RANDOM on the right. The bottom has LINES and BET with minus and plus, and a GAMBLE button with red dice.
The card duel
The screenshot above is the gamble. The banker shows the ten of hearts, a fairly high card. You pick one of five blue face-down cards in the PLAYER row, with the whole 0.98 in the BANK box at risk. If the aim is to beat the banker's card, as the name suggests, a ten is a hard card to beat, and that is a fair moment to press Take SCORE instead.
