Japan Fortune: lucky cats and paper lanterns on a 918Kiss slot

Japan Fortune borrows a set of familiar Japanese images and puts them on five reels. Red paper lanterns hang along the top of the screen, a castle and green hills sit behind the jackpot boxes, and the symbols lean on good-luck charms.
It uses 50 lines at 0.01 per line, so the 0.50 bet shown covers every line. As on several 918Kiss slots, a big character is drawn across a full reel.
The reel set
In the screenshot above you can see a white lucky cat with its paw raised, a fortune cookie, and a geisha with a purple fan. The third reel is taken up by a heavy-set wrestler with tattoos down one arm, arms folded against a red sunburst. The card symbols are J, 9, A and K in bold colours.
Nothing on these reels is labelled WILD or SCATTER in the capture. The paytable inside the game will say which symbols have special roles.
Reading the top of the screen
- BALANCE 42.23, BET 0.50 and WIN in lantern-shaped boxes.
- RANDOM JACKPOT on the left (1179.20 here), MAJOR and MINOR on the right.
- "50 Lines selected" and "0.01 Bet per line" in small print just above the reels.
The bottom bar has BET minus and plus and an AUTO button.
After a win: the card duel
Japan Fortune uses the Gamble War screen seen above. The banker's card here is the six of spades and the BANK box holds 0.21. You pick one of the five blue cards in the PLAYER row. Beat the banker and the amount grows; lose and the 0.21 goes. Take SCORE banks it instead.
