Rome & Glory (3Win8): emperors, chariots and a mystery scatter

Rome & Glory puts its reels between two marble columns under a gold banner, with a Roman emperor, an empress, an eagle standard, a chariot and the Colosseum doing the heavy lifting. The lower symbols are Roman odds and ends: a bag of coins, a silver goblet, a sealed scroll, a war horn and a bunch of grapes.

The paytable

• Emperor: 5000 for five, 1000 for four, 100 for three, 10 for two.
• Empress: 2000, 400, 40, 5.
• Eagle standard and chariot: 750 for five.
• Coins, goblet, scroll: 100 for five. Horn and grapes: 150 for five.

The centre panel is headed SUBSTITUTES FOR ALL SYMBOLS, with a small pays table (200, 20, 2) next to the Colosseum, marked SCATTER. Below it: "10 FREE GAMES + MYSTERY SCATTER". The page doesn't spell out what the mystery scatter does.

A spin, and all 20 lines

In the hero capture the game is on 15 lines at 0.03 a bet. A purple line has picked out three bunches of grapes from the top-left, and the WIN box on the right shows 0.15. Above the reels, MINOR reads 700.00 and MAJOR 1100.00.

Turn on all 20 lines at 0.10, as here, and each spin costs 2.00. The line numbers on both sides are in non-sequential order (4, 2, 20, 16, 10 and so on), matching where each line starts and ends.

How it plays

Rome & Glory has no expanding wilds or multipliers visible on the paytable, so the base game is plain line pays and the free games are the one event to wait for. That makes it easy to follow but fairly flat between features. For another ancient-world theme, see Achilles on 3Win8.
