Pay Dirt is a cartoon gold rush slot. The reels are sandy boards set in front of a mining camp with a water tower and log cabins, and the characters are the usual cast: a prospector, his donkey and a dog that has found something shiny.
The older description said the game has 40 paylines. Both screenshots show "25 Lines selected", so that's the figure we go with here.
What's on the reels
The screenshot above shows mine carts full of gold on reels one and two, wooden crates packed with red dynamite sticks, blue oil lanterns and a grey pack donkey. The prospector has a green hat, a red bandana over his face and a revolver. The dog symbol, a brown mutt with a gold nugget in his teeth, appears on reels four and five.
In the other capture, the banner has switched to the Pay Dirt logo, and the win message reads "You won 0.02 on line 21".
The nugget rule
When a win includes the nugget, the banner over the reels changes to "GOLD NUGGET TRIPLES THE PRIZE!". That's the one special rule visible on screen. It works like the doubling bandit in Coyote Cash, only at three times.
Reading a win
- "25 Lines selected", "0.01 Bet per line", BET 0.25.
- "You won on 5 lines", WIN 0.13.
Five paying lines and about half the stake back. Balance stays at 12.00 in both captures because they show the same spin.
Jackpot boxes
MINOR and MAJOR sit on wooden signs on either side, RANDOM JACKPOT in the middle. The numbers change as others play; they're a display, not a target.
