Pan Jin Lian is a 918Kiss (SCR888) slot named after a character from classical Chinese fiction, the same figure who appears in the Water Margin tales. The game borrows the period setting rather than any plot: carved red screens, green jade-style borders with dragon heads at the corners, and a row of antique objects on the reels.

Both of our screenshots were taken during the free round, so the view is a little unusual. Most symbols are shown in grey, and the ones counting towards a win light up in full colour.

Inside the free round

A large gold banner reads FREE GAME with a counter beside it: 1/20 in the hero screenshot and 6/20 in the one below. That puts the round at 20 games. The top bar still shows MAJOR, RANDOM and MINOR counters while it runs.

In the first capture, two gold ornamental plaques on the top row glow pink and gold while the rest stay grey. The panel at the bottom reads WIN 7.

By game six the picture changes. Three pairs of embroidered cloth shoes across the middle row are lit, as are two painted fans and a gold plaque, and the WIN box shows 79.

The objects are all everyday antiques from the story's era:

  • a house with a tiled roof, marked BONUS
  • gold ornamental plaques
  • embroidered cloth shoes
  • round and painted folding fans
  • a hairpin with beads
  • a wine jar with the character for wine on it
  • head-and-shoulders portraits of several men and women in period dress

The panel

LINE is set to 9 and LINES BET to 1, with minus and plus buttons, BALANCE and TOTAL BET on the strip above, and a DOUBLE button on the right. Nine credits a spin is the setting in both captures.
